Code Kit Classroom lets teachers create and manage student accounts.

Teachers and schools are responsible for making sure they have authority to add students to Code Kit Classroom.

We use compile services for web uploads
When you compile or upload code from the Code Kit web app, your code and selected libraries may be sent to our compile service.
We use this information to compile your code and return the compiled result. We may also keep limited compile logs, such as:
- user ID
- board type
- libraries used
- compile time
- error status
- date and time
We use compile logs to run the service, fix errors, measure system performance and prevent misuse.
We use licence and device information
Code Kit Pro and the Code Kit desktop app may use licence information to check whether you have access to paid features.
This may include:
- account ID
- email address
- subscription or entitlement ID
- licence status
- licence expiry date
- device ID
- access token and refresh token used for login
Tokens are used to keep you signed in. You should keep your device secure.
We allow project sharing
Code Kit may let users create links to share projects.
Anyone with a public sharing link may be able to view the shared project, depending on the sharing settings. You should not put private information in a project that you share publicly.
We share information with service providers
We share personal information with service providers that help us run EduKits.

- data storage providers
- payment providers

Code Kit can share projects by link
Some Code Kit features let users share projects by link.
If a project is shared publicly, anyone with the link may be able to view it. Teachers may also be able to view student projects in a classroom.
Use sharing links only for projects you are comfortable sharing.
Code Kit Classroom uses student information
Code Kit Classroom lets teachers manage student access.
Teachers may be able to:
- create student accounts
- add students to classrooms
- view student projects
- leave comments or feedback

We use student information to provide classroom features. We do not use student information for behavioural advertising.
Code Kit web upload sends code to our compile service
When you compile or upload from the Code Kit web app, your code may be sent to our compile service.
The compile service uses the code to create a file that can run on your board. It may keep limited logs for service, security and error fixing.
Code Kit desktop upload can run locally
The Code Kit desktop app can compile and upload code using tools installed with the app or available on your device.
If you sign in, the desktop app may store licence and login information on your device.
Diagnostic reporting is optional
Diagnostic reporting is off unless you turn it on.
If turned on, Code Kit may send error information to EduKits. This may include current code or compiler output related to the error.
Turn diagnostic reporting off if you do not want this information sent.
Local autosaves stay on your device
Code Kit may save projects locally to help prevent lost work.
Local autosaves may stay on your device until you delete them, clear browser storage, reset the app or remove app data.

For classroom accounts, some requests may need to go through the teacher, school or account owner.
