Code Kit Desktop Installation Guide

This guide assumes that you have a license for Code Kit Desktop. Learn More

Step 1

Download and open the installer file

You can find the link to download Code Kit in the email you received with your order. You can also access the link from your EduKits account.

If SmartScreen appears, click ‘More info’

Click ‘Run anyway’ to continue

Complete the Setup Wizard to finish the installation

Code Kit requires an administrator password to install, which allows it to upload code directly to your board.

Open the installer file and drag Code Kit to your Applications folder

When launching for the first time, click ‘Open’ to confirm

Activate Code Kit

Select your activation method

The last part of setup is activation. You can sign into your EduKits account where your available license keys will sync from your account. Or, you can enter your license key directly.

This step is the same for both Windows and MacOS.

Sign in with your EduKits account

Your email should match the one you used at the checkout. If you forgot your password, it’s easy to reset and should only take a minute or two.

Select an available license key

Code Kit license keys will automatically sync from your account. Select an available key to activate the app.

Enter email and license key

Your email should match the one you used at the checkout. Your license key(s) were emailed to you with your order, and you can access them at any time with your EduKits account.
